I started running in 2008, when a friend and I decided, on a whim, to run a 13k. We survived, I experienced my first runner’s high…and I promptly forgot about racing.
But I kept running, and in 2011 I decided, after years of swearing I would never run a marathon, that I wanted to run a marathon. I signed up for the Marine Corps Marathon and at some point during training, running went from being something I kind of liked, to something I couldn’t imagine not doing.
Now, I mostly run in the Boston area, but if you find me a race in a cool location, it doesn’t take much to convince me to go.
